Riot finally revealed the gameplay of Wildrift – the Riot’s answer to Mobile Legends. A lot of exciting details were mentioned.

Alpha Test

Riot confirmed the alpha test in Philippines and Brazil starting from June 6 to test the gameplay and server capabilities on the smaller scale. Wildrift is on track to have a global release in 2020.

Players will be selected randomly to participate in the alpha test.

Champion Updates

Twisted Fate

E – Stacked Deck – grants a temporary attack speed bonus.

Nasus 

Q – Siphoning Strike – grants 5 stacks instead of 3 stacks from minions. 

Shyvana

P – Fury of the Dragonborn –  grants bonus passive abilities instead.

Infernal Drake:

Granta Shyvana’s autoattacks additional true damage if the champion is marked by Flame Breath (E).

Mountain Drake:

Champions autoattacked by Twin Bite (Q) are slowed.

Runes

There are additional new runes added to the game. Every player can pick a keystone and three minor runes.

Here are the new initial runes:

Kleptomancy

Grants a temporary active item to use.

Twin Shadows 

Font of Life

Will replace Guardian as the support defensive keystone.

Conqueror

grants a direct 10% damage increase when fully activated

 

Cosmetics

Skins will be cosmetics-only without any bonus effects. The skins from PC version can’t be used in Wildrift and vice-versa.

Warding

Warding is supported and player will have a slot in the controls to place the ward.

Items

Players will be limited to only one active item.  New items will be added to the game and old will be updated.

Monsters

Buffs have been slightly changed. Red Buff ‘grants a damage increase’1 and Blue Buff now grants bonus HP and mana regeneration.

Buffs will evolve at the late game, granting empowered buffs when taking down. Evolved buffs will grant an empowered version of their respective buff, such as red buff giving massive damage and blue buff giving massive regen.

Elder Dragon now also has a respective element (i.e. Elder Infernal, Elder Cloud, Elder Ocean, Elder Mountain) which grants an empowered version of their respective buff when taken down.

Gameplay

A new in-depth tutorial will be added which improves access for newer players to the game.

A share feature similar to other mobile games, which allows the player to post achievements such as reaching a higher division to social media.

An item sets feature which allows you to customize what items get recommended in the quick buy section.
